WISCHEMANN Kunststoff GmbH has been awarded the bronze medal by EcoVadis, the world's largest provider of sustainability ratings for companies. It was the first time that we had worked through the extensive catalogue of questions and we now know even better which screws we can still turn to become even more sustainable and environmentally conscious as a company.
EcoVadis has assessed more than 100,000 international companies since it was founded in 2007. The evaluation is based on 21 corporate social responsibility criteria, which are divided into four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
Our apprentices usually come straight from school and have not yet had any contact with plastics processing. It's completely different for Elias Mondkowsky, who has been training with us for a few weeks now to become a plastics and rubber technologist. He is already in his second year of his apprenticeship and is now continuing his training with us due to his move to beautiful Ochtrup. Elias has quickly settled in with us, the intermediate exam he just completed was also successful and we are sure that his forthcoming journey through our thermoforming department, the laboratory, the foaming department etc. will continue happily. Welcome to the WISCHEMANN team, Elias!
We would like to welcome a new team member: Sascha Kanthofer has been taking care of our quality assurance for several weeks now. He is a trained machine operator and has many years of experience not only in the plastics sector but also as a quality inspector. Settling in has been going very well and he says he wants to stay. We are delighted and we say WELCOME TO THE TEAM!
Some of our colleagues know VACU-form like the back of their hand and are almost part of the inventory. Eight of them have reached an impressive 175 years of service to the company in the past year. At a joint breakfast, they were honoured by managing director Christian Herdering and production manager Stefan Haget for their many years of loyalty. We would like to say THANK YOU for every effort, every challenge overcome and every good idea! Here's to many more successful years of collaboration!

Here are two examples of the career opportunities at WISCHEMANN. Tim Bothorn and Tobias Schultejann have already completed their apprenticeship as process mechanics for plastics and rubber technology with us and have now gone one better. After 2.5 years of learning, they now hold their well-earned master craftsman's certificate in their hands and can call themselves "certified industrial foremen specialising in plastics and rubber". WISCHEMANN was happy to cover the costs and we are proud of you! Congratulations!
